Social Media has created multiple careers for both men and women in the industry. One of the careers that I will be discussing is Beauty Influencers. Every since I was younger I followed multiple influencers via Youtube and Instagram. There audience consist of young woman you look up to them are are influenced by their makeup, body, and clothing. I can imagine being an influencer may not be easy because you’re always and the public eye and have to portray a certain image. But what is that teaching young girls. Dramatic makeup and hair everyday, photoshop Instagram pictures , and unrealistic body images. Does not teach young girls to be comfortable in their own skin, appertain their bodies, or love their natural beauty. It’s shows young women a facade. Which is sad, because influencers has the option to redefine what it means to be beautiful.
